Imagine Being a Part of Art of the Dance Academy

You are sitting in a professional theater watching young dancers perform with excellence in their technique and artistry.  Every dancer from the pre-dance baby ballerinas, to the once a week recreational dancers and the professionally trained academy dancers perform to the highest standard appropriate for their age and level.  You are breathless and bursting with pride as you watch your child perform at their best.  You get a little teary eyed as you see them bow to all the applause. 

You have enjoyed the beautiful choreography in every number as well as the precision and stage presence of every performer.  You thought the opening number by the competition team was as good as any professional company.  The closing number is a solo by an advanced dancer who is graduating from high school with honors.  This is her last dance in her last recital before going on to a university to major in dance.  She has danced with the technique and artistry of a professional receiving a standing ovation.  Everyone shares a moment with her as she accepts a bouquet of roses from the Artistic Director who tells the audience about her memory of this polished and accomplished pre-professional being a dalmatian puppy in her first recital.  You begin to think that if your child wanted to they could achieve this level of dancing some day.  But for today your dancer is the spotted dancing puppy.  There is nothing better than watching your little dalmatian smile from ear to ear as they receive their first recital medal.  It is going to hang on the wall next to the certificate for completing their first level of dance.  You look forward to seeing their progress next year. 

You are always amazed when they get up early Saturday morning to get ready for class. They want to make sure to get there on time and start dancing around the house before getting into the car.  You know not to plan anything right after dance because they always come out of class smiling and wanting to stay a little while to watch the advanced class in the big room.  Again you start to wonder about the possibilities because almost every dancer in that advanced class started at the studio at your child's age.
